HOW MUCH LONGER????

Here it is, 6 weeks since we put the moneys down on our new house - and still no new house.

We're waiting for the factory to churn out the units. We do have the serial number for the new house, but alas no new house.

So I am at the point that I am getting tired of waiting. Yup, I just can't believe it takes an RV company 6 weeks since we ordered, and still no unit.

So where is this leading?????

I found a better "new house" and all I have to do is get the Jeep up here to help me out.

Better yet, I'll probably need the LongRoof Fan and The Kid, and probably need my Noble Assistant TOO.

So what is better that a mobile house, yes one we can hook up to the "little mule" and move around at moments notice. After all there are hurricanes down this way, oh and tornadoes too.

But being how the Jeep is so great at getting things "unstuck" from the mud and muck- don't believe me--- every pic I have of the Jeep he is in a jeep in water "stuck".
here's the last time

So I get the Jeep to bring his jeep, get the Bus to come down with the Bus and Trailer (not the bus on trailer), the bus so he has a place to sleep (in the bus), and get the Long Roof Fan to bring his Ford Econo up (you know, the one him and jeep use to get the jeep unstuck),

here's a pic of their last time in the mud and muck

so the Jeep pulls it closer, the Long Roof Fan pulls the jeep, and we put it on the Bus's trailer that he pulls with the Bus......The Kid is the Longshoreman who gets to go into the water to connect everything.

So what is it I think should be my next new best home......... I give you a picture!

All the while this poor Beachbiker (aka Horsefarmer, aka Sailor), along with his Barngoddess1, (ala Beachgoddess, aka The First Mate), and of course My Noble Assistant, well we do what I am doing our most important job:

WHAT???????

The Jeep doesn't have that jeep; The Long Roof Fan doesn't have that van; The Bus is snowed in;

Alas, I guess I'll just wait till next week to get our new house on wheels.

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW

So the lovely wife and I have been house hunting down here in blue hair land.
Never the ones to just take something and do wonders with it, then sell..........
yeah...... house in Connecticut, house in Hawaii, house in Springfield, house in Marionville....

Well we worked hard and making our new home on wheels just for us. Here it is in all it's wonder:

So OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

We finally broke down and got us a bigger house on wheels. Over 14 ft wide and 40 feet long. Yep...

After 6 months down here, we realized out little 30 ft house was too small.
So after hours of searching, and endless trips, we came up with the house that matches all our wants.

So here it is:

Do a search on Sanibel 5th wheel RV and look at the 3500. Yep that is our new home.
Of course we have to wait until FEB 28th to pick it up. But we have sold the Wilderness and can't wait till we move again.

Hey Bus, yeah we are moving again, out of the old and into the new.

That's how we celebrate life.

A story about a coyote

California & South Dakota

California:

1. The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature
trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the
Governor.

2. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie
"Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what
is natural.

3. He calls animal control Animal Control captures the coyote and
bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

4. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills
the State $200 testing it for diseases.

5. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for
diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.

6. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game
conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous
animals.

7. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote
awareness program" for residents of the area..

8. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat
rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

9. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack.
The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional
special training re: the nature of coyotes.

10. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit
against the State.

South Dakota:

1. The Governor of South Dakota is jogging with his dog along a nature
trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.

2. The Governor shoots the coyote with his state-issued pistol and keeps jogging.

3. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 hollow point cartridge.

4. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that, my friends, is why California is broke and South Dakota is not!

So what do the old folks do?

So I hate to pass on what the old folks are doing, see it's kind of like what is really going on down in sunshine land that the old folks occupy their time with? +

Down in warmer weather land, my oldest brother, BBB occupies his time with his tractor and trailer:

Now in SW MO, the Bus occupies his time politicing:

And in the Birthplace of Speed, the Longroof occupies his time keeping us abreast of happenings down racetrack way (including the Rolex 2012)

Where as down in Ormond Beach the Jeep occupies his time with things that he has been doing since he was a kid:

So it's not surprising that the old folks in St Augustine Beach occupy their time playing with helicopters, toy helo' at that:

So that's how we celebrate life down here.
